The type of menu can greatly impact the cost per person. A simple three-course dinner might be more affordable, while a more elaborate selection with passed appetizers, multiple entrée options, and specialty desserts can raise the cost significantly.
Service needs vary by event, and staffing costs generally reflect this. A typical server might cost between $225 and $275 for a minimum shift, which includes wages, administrative costs, and gratuity. For events requiring chefs, bartenders, or additional support staff, these rates may be higher.
Rental needs can range from minimal to extensive, depending on the venue and type of event. Renting simple place settings might add $20 per guest, or might be $50 per guest
If you need to rent tables, chairs, linens, heaters, a dance floor, or even set up a full field kitchen, the overal rental cost can exceed 4 figures.
